  • Businesses
  • Non-profit organizations
  • Municipalities of the Pontiac MRC

ADMISSIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The promoter must demonstrate knowledge and experience relevant to the project;
  • The primary business activity of the business/organization must be within the territory of the Pontiac CLD.
  • The project must:
    • Correspond with the MRC action plan.
    • Demonstrate good perspectives for financial viability.
    • Not displace jobs because of heavy competition in the economic sector concerned;

  • Feasibility study
  • Marketing study
  • Opportunity study
  • Resort to experts (consultants)
  • Product or project developments

NATURE OF THE FINANCIAL AID

  • The aid accorded is non-reimbursable providing that the contract is respected.
  • The aid is in the form of reimbursement of 50% of admissible expenses for Businesses and Municipalities, and 80% for Non-Profit Organizations.

All authorized projects will be the subject of a contract between the CLD Pontiac and the beneficiary which will define the conditions of disbursement of the financial aid and the obligations of the parties.

Each request will be analysed by the CLD Pontiac Investment Committee who will make the final decision.

 

RESTRICTIONS

The financial aid from federal and provincial governments including the Pontiac CLD cannot exceed 50% (80% for Non-Profit Organization) of the admissible expenses of the project.

Expenditures related to the project but made prior to the receipt by the Pontiac CLD of the official request for assistance, are not admissible.

The sum of subsidies received from the CLD may not exceed $ 10,000 per business or promoter.
