The CLD has several funding programs to help for-profit and non-profit businesses, young promoters and the self-employed.
The Local Investment Fund (FLI) was created to facilitate investments in businesses in the start-up or expansion phase that will have an impact on the creation or maintenance of jobs within the territory of the CLD Pontiac. To be considered by the Investment Committee, a business plan must demonstrate viability, profitability, and job creation.
The Young Promoters Program (JP) provides financial and technical assistance to entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35. A first or second business legally established by the promoter that creates one permanent full-time job, as well as one part-time job is eligible. The promoter's business plan must demonstrate to the CLD Investment Committee that financial assistance is necessary for the realization of the project.
The Self-Employment Program (STA) assists an individual to create their own job through self-employment. The program provides an individual with various types of support during the business start-up period. Technical assistance in the form of coaching tailored to the needs of the client, as well as financial support in the start-up phase is offered.
Marketing Strategy Support Fund was created by the CLD Pontiac in order to increase the visibility of the businesses in our region. To be considered, the business must be in its third year or more of operation. The financial assistance is in the form of a grant covering 50% of eligible expenses and each case is evaluated by the CLD Investment Committee.
New Business Venture Support Fund (SEPE)'s purpose is to assist businesses at the pre-start up or start-up phases. The financial help, in the form of a grant, can cover up to 50% of eligible expenses. The funds can be used to pay fees related to the preparation of a business plan, a market study, a feasibility study, etc. The work must be done by a professional consultant firm. The projects must be structuring and must foster local employment.
The Social Economy Business Development Fund (FDEÉS) assists non-profit organizations and businesses with financially viable projects which create or maintain sustainable jobs. The objective is to stimulate, promote and assist social economy enterpreises and organizations.
Forest Resources Development Program (PMVRMF) Volet II is a financial aid program for forestry related operations. Its aim is to contribute to the social and economic development of the regions by way of projects of a forestry, wildlife, recreational, educational or environmental nature.
