Mission

Through its developmental initiatives, the CLD helps to bolster partnerships in the municipal sector, the business community and the cooperative, union and social economy sectors, and give new impetus to local development.

By assuming this pivotal role in the economic activity of the Pontiac, the CLD encourages the community to assume responsibility for development through the dynamic forces available to them.

Mandates

• MULTI-SERVICE OUTLET for entrepreneurship adapted to its environment;
• Develop and update a local action plan for economic and employment development;
• Design local strategies related to the development of entrepreneurship and businesses, including social economy businesses;
• Position the MRC Pontiac to generate interest in the establishment of businesses in different sectors of economic acitvity;
• Develop and promote marketing of the Pontiac region as a tourist destination;
• Provide entrepreneurs with various funding opportunities for their projects;
• Support the implementation of innovative projects in partnership with various Pontiac socio-economic agents;
• Support the MRC and local municipalities in their development efforts.
